Liked: Cleanliness and the facilities in the apartment. No extra cost for parking and we could park immediately outside the door of our unit.

Liked: The day of check-out was the day of the Salamanca market. When I asked the staff about parking, they suggested that I park my car in the hotel's parking lot. It was a little far to walk, but the parking lots around the Salamanca market were full, so it was a relief.

Nearby walk to Hobart CBD, salamanca market, and 5 minutes away from supermarkets and sandy bay shops. Really nice location, still a motel but was very satisfied with my stay. Bathrooms and ahower were clean, kitchen fine, would stay here again

Liked: Can’t thank the staff enough for changing our room to one with no stairs. Two knee replacements and old age make stairs very challenging when we have to carry luggage. Really good location and we felt safe too

Disliked: The available laundry time seems a little short when used for longer stays for business trips. It would be easier to use if it were longer.
The Wi-Fi signal in the room I stayed in was unstable near the bed. I felt stressed when looking at my phone while lying on the bed.

Comfortable property close to shopping and reasonable walking distance to central Hobart. We did have trouble getting the reverse air con to blow warm, which was a challenge for us as we are from tropical North Queensland and Hobart was very cold for us. Not sure if that was due to us or the facility. Very good laundry options.

The good things are the motel is pretty close to the supermarkets and a amazing italian restaurant, just a few minutes walking distance. However, if there is hot water or warm water in the bathroom at night is much appreciated since when I turned on the shower for 20mins at about 1900, but still no hot water, even I tried in the mid night again. The staff, she kept asking anyone bathed yet, it may take an hour to have hot water if that is a case and claimed the water is not freezing. I can assure that if that is case, your motel may be overestimate capacity for guests. Anyway, the room is clean and fit with the photo description.

Liked: Perfect apartment with everything we needed. The lady at check in was amazing! We arrived very early (8.30am) and she let us store our luggage while we got breakfast and then allowed us an early check-in at 10.30am which was perfect for us.

Liked: We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was spacious, well-equipped, and filled with natural light, making it a perfect home away from home. The location couldn't have been better—tons of dining options around, and both Coles and Woolies were just a short walk away. It was excellent value for money and provided a comfortable base for our trip. We’ll definitely be back

Liked: Good location if you travel by car, there are many shops and restaurants around which include Coles and Woolworths super marget. Properties is a bit old. there is the kitchenette which is handy if you want to cook.

The property was just right for 3 ppl to share and sleep in before our 7 day tour. Location was perfect for our tour pickup and it was near a grocery store. We found a dinner place for take away since the restaurant we went to closes at 8pm.

Disliked: My room was situated right next to the guest laundry and the soundproofing of the room was non existent, which was slightly annoying - if I'd been there longer for one night - I would have requested a change.

Would definetely stay here again and recommend to families. Accommodation was clean, staff friendly and great for families with 2 separate bedrooms and a kitchen across two levels with plenty of space. Parking was easy and the accommodation itself was in an good location with lots of amenities nearby and walking distance to the city.

Liked: The number of car parks seems less than adequate for the number of rooms. The big SUV’s it seems has had you remark the spaces and so reduce space. For a town without trains I would expect every guest booking to have a car. Maybe you need to buy more land??

Liked: The property itself meets the requirements of cleanliness and very good location for everything.
Disliked: The thing that we find it difficult because we have 2 big luggages and we were placed on the second floor where stairs are tight and so hard to bring up and down stuffs. And the bed is not so comfortable .

Liked: Room was nice size and clean.
Disliked: The bed was terrible, it was small and the mattress was way too soft in the middle meaning that 2 people sleeping on it had you rolling into the middle sleeping on top of one another, if you try to separate the mattress forces you back together. which could be seen as a plus if you're a couple going through a rough patch wanting to be forced back together.

Liked: Location was near the city, upmarket, coles, woolies, restaurants within walking distance. Parking right outside the apartment. 2 bed apartments had 2 separate rooms, one with double bed and another with 2 single beds. The 2nd room is quite small though

Liked: Bed was comfortable. Car spot. Good hot water and pressure. Staff were helpful & friendly. On-site washing amenities. Well maintained premises. Intermittent room servicing. Privacy. Enjoyed our stay very much. Can see and appreciate the great effort put into the property throughout.
Disliked: Bathroom dispensers were unappealing. Bathroom was well loved, due for update, slight leak at back of toilet. Didn't like the rubbish truck collections 4 out of 7 mornings (servicing the area so understand this is not controllable by the sites but was unpleasant). These were only slight niggles. For the price, well worth it.

Liked: Great location on Sandy Bay Road, lots of food options, lots parking at the property or even in front of our apartment, we are regular visitors to this property, always found things, clean comfortable and great value.
Disliked: Was a bit noisy during the night of our stay as the room we booked is a downstairs apartment and there are rooms above, we could hear the upstairs guests stomping about especially in the quiet of the night, (not the hotels fault just guests possibility a little inconsiderate).

Disliked: If pressed I would say the bathroom was in need of a bit of hygiene update - just some areas of mould forming in the grout and seals, little flecks of pink in the ceiling and some paint starting to peel and crack in the shower area. However it wasn’t anything extreme certainly not enough to really worry anybody.

Disliked: One of the staff parked right up in front of our room, so close to the door that it was tricky to get out with our luggage. It was 9am and she probably assumed we'd checked out, but if she'd parked in the next space along, it wouldn't have blocked anyone's door.

Liked: The location is very good. You can walk to the supermarket. The room is very spacious. Kitchenware and other items are provided. The sofa and dining table are very comfortable.
Disliked: The two of us checked in. There was no hot water after the first person finished washing. The winter in Tasmania was very cold. We were really depressed. We tried again the next morning and there was hot water. Maybe it was because the next person had turned off the hot water. After it is used up, it is recommended to add signs to remind guests or to change the hot water system, otherwise it will be a disaster if there is no hot water for washing in the middle of the night in winter.

Disliked: The lighting was good, but you had to have all lights on or bedside lamp. Hubby was in bed early so I couldn't see in the lounge area without disturbing him. Got a camp light out of the car. Perhaps a lamp in that area would be an asset.

Liked: We got a 2 bedroom apartment and it was in the ground floor as requested . We parked right in front so it was easy to load and unload our luggage. It had a well equipped kitchen which we used for most meals with food we got from the nearby groceries. It was a walk from a lot of sights but since we had a rental and it was winter we brought the car most of the time . Salamanca is less than 5 mins drive and the pier area .

Liked: I’d never stayed here before as I usually stay within the CBD. I liked this place because it offered a kitchenette which included a microwave, stovetop, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. My bathroom contained a bath ( which I requested ) thank you management. decent sized bathroom which was actually bigger than other motels I’ve stayed in. Nice comfortable double bed and better still the pillows were soft and comfortable. unit was very clean and smelt fresh. A sofa table and chairs and flat screen television included. I enjoyed a relaxing comfortable stay, Lovely compact unit, Will stay again.
Disliked: Nothing that I didn’t like but unit access was by steep narrow stairs which I was made well aware of before booking. not an issue for me but may be for others

Disliked: hower occasionally dropped water. Bed was comfortable but it was cold. Electric blanket would have been nice. Very small issues.

Liked: Everything. I liked the big screen tv, stove and cooking equipment that you don't find in other accomodation.
Disliked: Nothing. Except I parked a bit away from our room as I arrived at 11pm after attending an event.

Liked: We love the position, close to where we needed to visit family. We loved the space, it was very comfortable, and the heater made it toasty. The water pressure was amazing making for great relaxing showers. Have parking right on the door step was an extra bonus.
Disliked: It was very difficult to find fault at all. If I had to be picky I'd say the pillows were too high. But later, one of my kids told me there was a choice of pillows and the others were lower lol. And I did struggle to park. It was wonderful to have parking provided so close but a couple of bigger cars made the space a wee bit tight. Of course, the difficulty may have been from my tiredness and lack of patience to match. We will be back anyway!

Easy to check in after hours, plenty of parking if you needed it, close to fuel, shops, pubs, not too far from markets. Room was clean with new fit out, had everything you needed. Only downsides - given handicap suitable room so flat bathroom floor for shower, water goes everywhere, though dried with a few hours. Liked: Nice beautiful cute cottage. The lady at the reception is very friendly. The place is super clean and complete with everything we need. From extra towels, extra blankets to extra pillows. Nice and warm with the heater. And basic cooking utensils. Location is very strategic, walking distance to coles & woolies, McDonald and other restaurants or bar. 5-7 mins drive to CBD. Definitely will be staying again next time visiting hobart

Highly recommended.
The property is well maintained. Very cosy with bedrooms upstairs. The old style window is pretty and interesting. The site has plenty of car parking bays. Close to big Woolworth and has kitchen, so it's very convenient for self catering. The gentleman at reception was super nice and friendly. I would stay again.

Liked: This was lovely accomodation and an easy process from start to finish! The staff were exceptional and location was fantastic. It was extremely clean, comfy and loved the little bay windows and kitchen. Plenty of places to grab food and walking distance to the main areas of Hobart. Will definitely stay again!
Disliked: Tight parking but have cctv if needed. Would be helpful to have set parking spots to ensure continuity of parking and keep track of parking incidences.

Liked: The location is good, surrounded by restaurants. It’s a 5-minute walk to Battery Point area and maybe 7-10 minutes to Kelly’s Steps to Salamanca Market. The staff (2 ladies that we met) were very nice. The room itself is fine. Free parking and it is hard to find in Hobart. There is also a laundry area for us to clean our clothes before we moved on to the next town.
Disliked: Nothing in particular. It’s not great but it’s not bad. A bit dusty. And my clothes got lots of pieces of paper stuck to them after the laundry.

Liked: A very good location, adequate parking available and everything worked as expected. The apartment was neat and tidy and the bedrooms were a reasonable size. The living area and kitchen were a bit on the small size but still good for our short stay and quite reasonable given the price range the apartment was offered at.
Disliked: We got an upstairs apartment and the stairway was a little narrow are reasonably steep. Not a problem for us, if potential issue would ask for ground level apartment.

Liked: Good location, close to shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The hotel was on the hop on hop off route and also a pick up point for most of the tour companies.
Disliked: Tired, in need of refurbishment. Single beds in 2nd room were very small. Other residents made a lot of noise in the evenings (drinks etc in the car park) and it was noisy in the morning when people left.

Disliked: The room is so smelly, omg,so scary when i entered the bathroom with hundreds of ANTS, ANTS were everywhere, I requested another room, but receptionist said no more room is available, she gave me a can of fly spray and a chux and a can of Glen 20, the smell is even worst after we spray the ANTS, we have to get out of the room for a while as we can not breathe, There is no hair dryer, not only that we heard a loud bang in the kitchen, it was from the lid of the fan felt down, Very noisy at night

Disliked · Being in our 70s we didn't like having to climb the stairs to the bedrooms. We did not know it would be two storey as we weren't advised beforehand. Our son had to carry our luggage up. On that note I wouldn't stay here again.

All necessities of groceries, restaurants, coffee shops are all within walking distance & if you’re a bike rider of any sort, Bay Hotel are right next door to MyRide. The bus if need be is only 1.5km up the road which was perfect. The room I booked was fantastic. Clean & extremely comfortable in addition to having a kitchen with all cooking utensils if you ever want to cook for yourself. 10/10 & will book here again!

Another fantastic 2 night stay from my place of choice when in Hobart. The Executive rooms are fantastic. Away from street noise and equipped with a queen and single bed, plus very quiet heat pump. Good ammenities, clean bedding, and clean shower. Check in and check out very friendly as always. Look fwd to staying again.

We appreciated the quick response by reception staff to the faulty flush system of the toilet. A plumber was speedily dispatched and he fixed the problem quickly. It was great to have a bath in the bathroom too.
Disliked · I would have liked a lamp in the sitting area. There were good lamps next to the bed. I don't like a single switch operating all the lights so didn't switch them on at night which meant it was a bit too dull near the couch, A lamp near the couch would have been good. The toilet flushing system needs updating. Maybe new toilets?

Liked · Excellent value for money! Studio was very clean and well presented. I appreciated the small additions such as shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser etc as I was travelling light with carry on only. Kitchen was well equipped to make own breakfast before setting out for the day. Location was fantastic - easy 20 min walk into town for all the markets/museums etc, buses just outside to get further out and beautiful close strolls around Sandy Bay and Battery point. Coles and woolies a few mins walk. Good bakery and eating options. It was quiet at night and the bed was comfy. Staff were lovely. I will definitely be back.

Liked · Convenient location in Sandy Bay/Battery Point area. Easy 20 min walk to cbd and close to shops and restaurants etc in local suburb. Room was tidy and spacious with comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rates reasonable. Will stay again.

Liked · Room was clean and had lots of space. The location was awesome, close to Woolworths, pizza places and alcohol stores. Wasn't noisy at all with the main road location. The kitchenette was well stocked too.
Disliked · The bed had a big sag in the middle, I mean we are husband and wife celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary in Tasmania, but it was a bit too close for comfort! Hee hee hee!

Disliked · Noisy! We were in apartment 16 which is closest to Sandy Bay road, do not expect sleep in this room! All night traffic noise and on a Saturday night, foot traffic too. 5:30am you have 20 or so cyclists who congregate at the cafe behind the room, they are 2 metres from the window and talk so incredibly loud, it’s so disrespectful! We left here very tired. Disappointed we were placed in your room given we are repeat guests and booked and paid in full months in advance, management would clearly know it’s a terrible experience in apartment 16!

Liked · The beds were really comfortable, we had the best sleep. Easy late check-in. Very good sound isolation. The location is within walking distance of the city center. They allowed us to keep the car there as long as we needed.
Disliked · The apartment was smaller and older than expected. It had a very strange smell (like someone was smoking in there).

Liked · The beds were comfy the towels good quality. They offered a $5 Brekky for your room. It was also walking distance to Salamanca and also Sandy point shops. It was a great location. Great value for money.
Disliked · It was a little tight and could use a bit of decoration in the lounge area. The facilities were older but it didn’t bother us.

Liked · Clean, cosy and just what we needed for a short stay in Hobart. We arrived late but staff were on hand to direct us to be able to access the apartment. Plenty of space to park the car.
Disliked · Our room was on the ground floor next to the smoking area so probably would have preferred another apartment but it didn't bother us too much. Although cosy, the apartment was on the small side and didn't have an oven which is slight disadvantage so would probably book a bigger apartment next time.

Nice staff. Was a bit concerning that there was a clearly used towel on the back of the bathroom door with food stains. Housekeeping are likely very busy as they had a full house the night we stayed. Walls are thin so we could hear other guests showering at night.

Liked · Good location to walk into Hobart CBD. Has washing machines and dryers in a communal laundry. Huge machine (13.5kg) was $10, smaller machines $6, dryer can't remember the price. Have drying racks you can take to your room.
Disliked · We were in the unit closest to the road and on the lower floor. Could hear the road noise very well inside the unit. The unit above us was very loud and sounded like they were stomping above us. The door could do with a door snake or weather blocker. It was very windy when we were there, and lots of leaves and flower petals were blowing under the door.

Liked · The equipment in the apartment is very suitable for families, and each room is equipped with heating, so that we who are afraid of the cold can sleep peacefully.

Liked · The location was great for our needs & it is good value for money compared to other accommodation in the area. Rooms are always clean & tidy, & was warm on our arrival. The off street parking is good too.
Disliked · We were in an apartment closest to Sandy Bay Rd, so the road noise was a bit annoying! Also seemed to be a septic or drain smell in the bathroom.

Liked · The 2-bedroom apartment we stayed in a was super clean. Double bed was very comfy. Location is very convenient with lots of dinner choices. Kitchen not the biggest however with all that are needed to cook hot breakfast. Unit is very warm for a winter night. Staff were very friendly. Will stay here again next time we visit Hobart.

Liked · It was in a great location. The bed was comfortable . Kitchenette had everything we needed.
Disliked · We ran out of hot water after only 1 one us was 1/2 way through a shower and then had to have a cold one. Informed staff and they told me there was nothing he could do as they were fully booked and we would just have to wait for it to come back on... which wasn't until the morning. There was sticking liquid spilled on the sofa and bench. Freezer needed defrosting. Lamps didn't work.

Liked · everything was super clean! there were thoughtful details like milk in the fridge. Amenities were fantastic. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe here :) Also walking distance to shops/the city.

Liked · Very clean with modern fixtures. Great TV, nice little kitchen, superb water pressure in the bathroom. Perfect location with shopping and lots of food outlets within walking distance. Parking is great.
Disliked · Just a suggestion. All the unit lights are on one switch (at the door and by bed). It would have been much more comfortable if the overhead light above the bed could have been switched separately, leaving the other 4 unit lights on. When one person goes to bed before the other, that lighting causes issues.

The downside is the property is not elderly and disabled-friendly because of the flight of stairs you got to climb to the second floor, no lift and they do not provide room service if you stay not more than 5 days. Also, the washing machine is not in the apartment itself. Anyway, is still worth staying.

The twin studio was very comfortable and quiet. A fairly short walk to the waterfront and Salamanca market. Some units are up stairs so specify ground floor if that’s an issue.
