Liked: The apartment was clean and staff checked us in quickly.
We went in winter during a very rainy period and the room kept the heat in quiet well. The beds and pillows were comfy and they provide extra blankets and pillows.
The stove top worked great and heated up quickly.
Disliked: Kitchen can only fit one person really. The range hood wasn't very strong.

Liked: Location of this hotel is excellent. Within walking distance to the famous Salamanca market(also a place with many fantastic restaurants and pubs). The facilities in the room are bit old but all functions well. Hot water supply is good and consistent during late night. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: As mentioned. Bit dated design and facilities. Mattresses are slightly too soft for me. Not a big deal anyway.

Liked: The TV is mounted on the wall and able to swivel. Sufficient supply of amenities in the room eg toilet rolls, tissue box, coffee and tea with sugar. 1 more thing worth mentioning is the cooking facilities. Full set.

Disliked: We stayed for two days and there was no hot water. It was freezing cold. We reported it to the front desk staff on the day of check-out. They said they would talk to the manager and call us on the same day to let us know how to deal with it. But we didn't get a call the whole day and there was no apology.

Liked: Have stayed here before - comfortable, clean and spacious with good facilities. Well located to Battery Point, Salamanca, Harbourside and CBD. Bus stops close bye if walking up steep hills gets too much!
Supermarkets within short walking distance on Sandy Bay Road.
Plenty of hot water, free parking.
Tip if using the buses maybe advantageous to purchase a Metro pass ($5 plus load) may work out much cheaper and more efficient than paying cash each trip.
Disliked: Be aware of steep steps to upstairs apartments and the early morning noise from the bike business near the front apartment nearest street.
I stayed upstairs in a rear apartment- very quiet and peaceful. Also be aware that there are showers over the bath in some apartments.

Overall ok but I would suggest you to update your systems. I stayed in your hotel total for 5 days via 2 different bookings. Somehow you chased us for the second booking which made me really stressed. The good thing is you corrected it yourself.

Disliked: There is limited hot water supply meaning no hot water if you plan to shower before midnight. Tried 8pm, 9pm and 10pm with no luck, tried again in the morning 8am water turned cold midway and had to finish shower in cold water. Very unpleasant and never experienced such issue with other hotels ever before. Nobody informed us of this before arrival. Called reception after hours and was told the limited hot water supply situation and the staff member appeared to be relaxed about it as if it is ok and the guest should accept it. This is like walking into a restaurant with no food or school with no teacher.

Liked: Great location and great facilities for staying over in Hobart and explore the surroundings. It was two of us staying in a 2-bedroom dorm, everything was very clean, carpark just outside our door, walking distance from everything although we were always driving. It was nice having the chance to make breakfast at home or even cooking dinner sometimes and this place had all the facilities needed. Also even though it was cold outside, heaters were provided for each room (fans as well for summer) and the bedr were very comfy.
Deffinitely recommend! especially if you're driving and prefer not to pay higher prices for a more centric location (this was literally 4min driving from the cbd harbour)

Liked: Loved the location (walkable distance to great restaurants) and the well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Comfortable double bed. We were able to park right in front of our room which was super handy.
Disliked: No chopping board and no fan in the bathroom (unless we missed the switch for it), so smells in the bathroom lingered for a while, including when we arrived, which gave a bad first impression. But the smell improved with time.

Also not having the option to have lights on the eating/living area without having the light on in the bedroom also was unpleasant. But overall very good value for money.

Liked: This accommodation is perfect for me. There are self-catering facilities, it's clean and warm (extra blankets provided) and a really short and easy walk to supermarket and cafes. The room is basic but excellent value for money.

Liked: The place was absolutely clean and tidy. Helpful staff and very accommodating. The place just so convenient mostly everything you need and to go around. Ao accessible for uber or taxi and private car. Highly recommended indeed!👍 Thankful for a wonderful stay.

Liked: Location was perfect, we were given an extra time for checkout. This was right in the centre of Hobart and very accessible/safe. I would def recommend them. Value for money...
Disliked: I think cleanliness and appliances need improvement but rest everything was fine. Parking bay were very small, cars are parked in very short distance but worth giving a free parking in the city centre. I would still give them 9/10

Nice stay
Lovely place for our 5 night stay. However as we were staying 5 nights or less the rooms were not serviced, so hadvto go to reception everytime we needed our towels replenished. There was no allocated parking so we only got to park outside our room once. One night we had to park on the other side of the complex as 3 motorbikes had taken up a whole park each. It was a pity there were no seats outside as we had some lovely days and it would've been nice to sit outside. Overall we had a good stay and our room was comfortable.

Liked: Stayed here numerous times. Very good for the price. The studio room has everything you need especially if you wish to self cater. Stovetop, microwave, kitchen ware etc table and chairs, couch. Room is a decent size. Location and parking good. The room was exceptionally clean.
Disliked: The mattress in the room( apartment 8) needs replacing. Overly soft and sags badly in the middle. Very uncomfortable and disturbed sleep. Previous stays here the beds were fine.

Disliked: We thought we would have a over to cook our dinner at night and it only had hot plates, the unit was very tiny for 4 adults in their eighties, also the glass tile window in the bathroom needs mould kill on it as it's is very mouldy and some of the tiles on the shower also are mouldy the grout is very discoloured due to mould. Also we had 12 stairs to get to the apartment, very difficult for elderly people.

Liked: Spacious family Unit, well-appointed, two separate bedrooms, kitchen facilities were very good. Separate lounge/dining area was also good with a very comfortable sofa. The pay-as-you-go laundry facilities were very handy. Location was good but ingress to and egress from the property was difficult due to the large volume of passing traffic.
Disliked: Not disability friendly. Because of limited mobility due to a back injury, I had asked for a ground level room, but was allocated an upstairs one with no lift access. Staff were unable to resolve the issue and I felt that my concerns were not understood. As a consequence, I could only enter and leave the Unit once per day. Shower over bath was also a problem even though handrails were installed. Luckily, I do not rely on a wheelchair as access would have been impossible.

Liked: Situated on the city side of Sandy Bay so a comfortable walk to shops and Salamanca Place although it does include hills. Good sized rooms with very comfortable beds and pillows. Climate controlled aircon so no issues with hot days. Very large TV although not smart so can't access streaming unless you plug in a box. Bathroom is fine.
Disliked: Kitchen is the only downside as there is no way to "bake" anything. Only options are hotplate or microwave. Would suggest putting an Airfryer in each room to round out the options.
Parking is a bit of a dog's breakfast and should be managed better.

Liked: Location was good. Close to restaurants and shops. Short drive to Hobart central.
Disliked: Needed a coffee table. stairs. No allocated parking. If you came back late it was difficult to find a parking space. Bed was too narrow - not a queen bed.

Liked: Location ideal - close to shops and sslamanca. Pillows were wonderful!
Disliked: Fridge was tiny for four people and was obviously cheap. Ice wouldn't freeze and moisture built up inside the fridge.

Liked: Great location, close to city centre and superbly priced ! Not to forget the free parking for townhouses.
Disliked: The townhouses have bathrooms downstairs which is a bit of a hassle, everything else was spot on.

Liked: This hotel, really more like a motel, is located within walking distance from downtown and the Saturday market. The room was comfortable and the Wifi worked well. The shower was for the disabled so water sprayed all over the bathroom. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful when I left an item behind. Having parking is a plus. There is a supermarket and restaurants in the neighborhood.

Liked: Really nicely situated in relation to the city centre and the casino. Lovely staff. Beautifully clean with all amenities catered for. We would definitely (and will be) staying again.
Disliked: Only (very, very tiny criticism) would be new mattress as the one we had needed replacing.

A perfect jewel!
I found this exquisitely clean studio apartment to be perfectly fitted with all the amenities necessary for my one-week stay. Service here is exceptional, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the property is within walking distance of shopping, the Salamanca Market, and much else. The Bay Apartment Hotel is a wonderful find and I highly recommend it.

Great family stay
Great location to walk down to Salamanca. Staff and service was great as we checked in late and were able to leave our car for a short time to go to the Salamanca Markets.
